Tau Phi Zeta

Brotherhood Built in 1932

Brotherhood Since 1932

Tau Phi Zeta isn’t just a fraternity, it’s a legacy. Born in 1932 inside the old St. Vincent’s Orphanage on Rutger Street and Conkling Ave, it started with fifteen high school boys, a kerosene lamp, and a simple idea: build a bond that lasts.

Real connection, real leadership, and a brotherhood built to stand the test of time.

We don’t just talk about community, we show up for it.

Tau Phi Zeta is proud to support local causes, host fundraisers, volunteer in the community, and help those who need a hand. Giving back is part of the code, and it always will be.

Our History

Back in the early 1930s, life wasn’t the easiest. But that didn’t stop a group of young men from building something that would outlive them all.

In a quiet room lit by a kerosene lamp, fifteen high school boys met for the very first time. They talked, they planned, and made it official. Tau Phi Zeta was born. That first meeting set the tone: loyalty, commitment, and a drive to support one another no matter what.

We haven’t forgotten where we came from. And we’re proud to keep that fire alive.

Our Values

  • Brotherhood First: You don’t just join Tau Phi Zeta. You become part of a crew that’s got your back for life.

  • Lead With Integrity: Whether you’re the guy stepping up or the guy holding the line, we lead by example.

  • Tradition Matters: We honor the roots while building the future.

  • Community Over Ego: We’re not here for status. We’re here for something real.

Dinners

Brotherhood isn’t just a word. It’s something we live every month.

Tau Phi Zeta meets up on the third Wednesday of each month at different restaurants and local spots around town. It’s dinner, drinks, and damn good company. The cost? Just $40, worth every penny for the good food, stories, laughs, and connections.

Bring a guest if you want. It's the perfect way to show someone what this brotherhood is all about.

Whether you’re a regular or haven’t been in a while, pull up a chair. We’ll save you a seat.
